About Me
I am a wife to the man of my dreams! We've been married for nearly three years now and I couldn't imagine my life without him in it! I am also a mom to a seven month old daughter who I absolutely adore! I love the Lord with all my heart...without Him in my life I would not be where I am today! I am enjoying the balancing act of being a stay at home mom and wife and, together with my husband, am enjoying our wonderfully blessed life!!

New Years Plans
Posted by jennasue
Tonight is New Years Eve. Scott and I typically go to my parents house on New Years Eve and celebrate the holiday with them playing games, eating lots of food and just enjoying each other's company. This year however, with Kaelyn, we decided that it's easier to stay at our house. Having a baby has changed a lot about the way we go about things. It's definitely not nearly as easy to just get up and go. Knowing this, my parents decided that they would come and spend the holiday with us at our place this year! They came up earlier today, and kind of last minute my parents and Scott decided to go see a vehicle that my parents are considering buying. They will be back soon to ring in the new year with Kaelyn, myself and my brother, Jacob!
God Is Good!!

As 2007 comes to an end, I can't help but look back on the past year and smile as I remember all of the wonderful new adventures my husband and I experienced and the journey God is taking us on. I was sitting here thinking about how much has changed since last year at this time! Let me tell you...2007 was definitely a busy and life changing year for my husband and I...it was one of the busiest and happiest years of our lives!! The Lord has truly blessed us! 2007 started out with Scott accepting a great new job position. We moved early February to a house that we were renting. Around that same time we found out that we were expecting our first baby!! What an exciting time! :) Later on...in June...Scott and I began looking for homes. We liked the house we were renting, but wanted something to call our own. We found the perfect home for us...it had everything we were looking for and more!! We ended up buying the house and moving in around the first week of August. After that we were getting closer and closer to the arrival of our little one (at the time not knowing what we were having). Kaelyn Sue was due Oct 28, and was born Nov 1!! She is such a wonderful little girl. We're enjoying watching her change and grow each day. It's hard to believe that she's over two months old already!! Finally, with the recent addition to our family we began searching for a vehicle that would suit us better. We found the perfect one...my parents SUV that they were selling. They were in search of a different vehicle as well...so we bought theirs from them just recently. Thinking back to what a busy year it's been I have nothing but joyful thoughts and appreciation for all God has blessed us with! We are now very proud parents of our beautiful little girl, homeowners, Scott's working and I'm a stay at home mom, and we have a vehicle that will now last us for a very long time!! God is good!! He continues to bless us in so many ways!! We're absolutely loving life and all God has for us!
Parenthood
Posted by jennasue
Scott and I were just talking the other night and we can't believe how quickly the past year has gone...specifically in terms of finding out we were going to become parents, and then having our beautiful daughter just a short time ago!! It was in February when we found out that we were expecting with our first baby. We were so thrilled when we found out....and can't believe that she is already here with us and changing our lives in so many wonderful ways! Parenthood is unlike anything we've ever gone through in our entire lives. What a miracle and a blessing to not only have a new life in the family, but also to be starting a family with the person that you love with all your heart!! We are really enjoying parenthood and all it entails. I knew Scott would be such a great dad...and he is!! He's a Christian man which is most important, and he is also so loving, kind, understanding, patient, forgiving....I could go on and on!! :) The most important thing to us as parents is that our children not only grow up knowing they are loved and have parents who will always be there, but also that they will grow up in a Christian home, one where Christ is the center of our family and all we do, and knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I am so thankful to my parents for being such wonderful role models and for bringing us up in a Christan home where we felt loved, secure and above all, where we saw and learned what it means to have a personal relationship with Christ....allowing us to truly get to know Him and make Him the Lord of our lives. I think that's one of the most important things a parent can do for their children...is to have that Christian foundation set in their home, where their children can grow in the Lord and come to know Him as their Lord and Savior!!
Lots Of Pictures

Wow...what a busy past couple of days we've had! We sure had a nice Christmas....but with all of the family gatherings we had it made the time go by very quickly. Scott and I learned that life with a baby makes things a little bit different around the holidays especially. We found that it wasn't as easy to just get up and go to the different gatherings we had to go to. Getting a third person ready makes for a very busy morning. We still haven't quite figured out how long it takes for all of us to get ready and out the door so we're getting to places on time. I guess we're just learning as we go! :) As I said though...what a nice time we had with each of our families. There were lots and lots of pictures being taken...especially on my side of the family of Kaelyn and her cousin Emry (a couple of which I've included in this post). Having two babies around was so much fun! What a blessed holiday season it has been. Thank you Lord for all you've done and continue to do for us! Thank you for our families and our health. May you guide and direct us as we enter a New Year...helping us to continue to put you first in all we do!

Lesson in Motherhood: 2
Posted by jennasue
Wow, as a mom I sure do learn something new everyday! Mainly I've been learning lessons to live by as a stay at home mom. Recently I discussed one thing that I came to terms with. Now, I am posting to discuss a second lesson that I have really taken to heart....Remember What's Important & Throw The Lists Away... Labels: Children, Family, Home, Motherhood
Again, you might be asking...what does she mean?! Well, let me explain. Before I had Kaelyn I was used to having a routine of sorts and getting done what I needed to. Now that kind of goes along with Lesson number one you might be saying, but keep reading. When I say Remember What's Important I not only mean that I must come to terms with the fact that I might not get my whole list of things done in a day, but I must make sure that I don't. Huh?! Is probably something you're asking yourself now! I know, I know...I may be confusing at times, but bare with me. :) What I mean is that I want to throw my lists away, not only to just take it a day at a time and go with the flow, but also so that I can spend more precious time with my beautiful daughter! Children are only young for such a short period of time. They grow so quickly and I want to cherish every moment I have at home with her. If this means throwing the lists away...then so be it....I want to remember that she is more important than any chore or task I have to do around the house!
True Reason For The Season
Posted by jennasue
It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner! It seems like just yesterday we were anticipating the birth of our daughter, and now almost two months later we are getting ready to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior...Jesus Christ!! With the busyness of the season...shopping, family get togethers, Christmas parties, etc...... it's often easy to get caught up in everything and forget what Christmas is truly all about!! May we all remember that Christmas is about our Lord Jesus Christ and all He has done for you and me! Thank you Father for sending your Son for us!! I encourage everyone to remember the Reason for the Season and to put the Lord first in your life today and every other day of the year! He is what this season, and this life are all about. May we live for Him each and every day of our lives. Thank you Lord!
The Life Of A Twin....
Posted by jennasue
Yep...that's right...I'm a twin! In fact, twins have run in my family for many generations. It's no surprise that my mom is and that she had twins (my brother and I). I don't know about many other people out there, but I really enjoy being a twin. It seems that we have many similarities in our lives....besides the obvious same birth date. We ended up going to the same college, getting married a week a part, and most recently had babies just 2 weeks apart (they were actually due only a day apart). Scott and I had our little girl Kaelyn...and Josh and Diana had a little boy, Emry.
This Christmas will sure be a fun time getting the two cousins together for the very first time. They live down in Texas, so this will be the first time we get to meet little Emry. My family is so excited to get everyone together. My younger brother is ecstatic as well....as he is an uncle for the first time!! :) I can't wait to get the two babies together and take lots and lots of pictures.
Stay At Home Mom
Posted by jennasue
From the moment we found out we were expecting, both Scott and I knew that we wanted to make me being a stay at home mom work. It definitely meant making our budget tighter, but it's worth every sacrifice we've had to make! Being able to care for my little girl each day and instill in her the values and beliefs that she'll take with her throughout her lifetime is so rewarding. I love watching her grow and change and couldn't imagine not being there to witness the new things she's begun to do...like rolling over, cooing, smiling, etc. Being a stay at home mom is the best job I've ever had!! I'd recommend it to any mom considering it....even if it means making sacrifices...it's the opportunity of a lifetime! Labels: Children, Motherhood, Parenting
Getting Things Done
Posted by jennasue
Being a new mom is such a joy, and exhausting at the same time. Now having been a mom for a little over a month now...I'm still learning how to get everything done that needs to be each day. Between the naps, feedings, and diapers....I'm trying to find time to clean, work online, and do laundry. I'm just taking it a day at a time and with each day that passes it gets a bit easier. It's so nice to have a husband who's supportive and there to help out when I need him as well!! I'm so grateful to have him come home from work and ask "Is there anything I can help you with?" He's been so helpful and willing to clean, take care of Kaelyn...etc. Without him willing to help out....everything that needs to be done would become quite overwhelming for me. My Wonderful Husband
Posted by jennasue
I thank the Lord every day for my wonderful husband!! What a blessing he is to me. I remember as a little girl having a list of traits that I would like for my husband to have one day. Many of these traits are those that my dad has, especially in the ways he treats my mom and his family and his Faith in the Lord and the way he lives for Him. I wanted nothing more than to find these things in a husband one day! The time came when I found a man just like that. He was and is everything I was looking for. He's a Godly man who puts the Lord first in his life. He's loving, compassionate, caring, honest....I could go on and on! I feel like the luckiest woman in the world! Luck isn't the right word though...I'm blessed. He has been the most wonderful husband, and now to see him as a father as well....he's amazing!! I always knew he would be a wonderful dad, but to see him with Kaelyn....words cannot express the happiness it brings me! He truly adores our little girl and enjoys the family time we have together in the evenings and on the weekends.
Kaelyn's One Month Appointment
Posted by jennasue
Today Kaelyn had her one month doctor's appointment. I can't believe that she is already over a month old...where does the time go??! She is gaining weight and growing like crazy...having gained 3 lbs already and grown a whole inch!! I can't believe how much she has changed in such a short amount of time. I want to treasure each and every day...because children are young for such a short time and grow and change so quickly.
