**As a SwimWays Swim Steps Ambassador, I received a variety of products to help facilitate my review. All opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.
As I’ve shared in the past, the kids and I spend a large part of our summer outside enjoying the beautiful weather. One of our favorite things to do is swim in the pool! Although summer began a little slow this year, we finally were able to set up our above ground pool in June and our whole family is loving it!
Spending more time in the pool not only means fun, but also the opportunity for my kids to get more comfortable in the water and hopefully the opportunity to become more confident with their swimming skills. As I mentioned in May, I am excited to be a Swim Steps Ambassador and share with you about the different products we’re using to help build confidence in the water. If you missed it, you can read my first review, here.
Last month we were sent a few more SwimWays products that couldn’t have arrived at a better time. we were just getting ready to set up our pool, and our kids couldn’t wait to try out their new pool toys, new for 2013.
Out of the box, the SwimWays Pooligans were a big hit with my 3 year old and 5 year old! These soft and cuddly plush toys are one of my kids’ new favorite toys. In fact, when we first received them they both wanted to sleep with them in their beds at night!
Of course, they couldn’t wait to try them out in the water. Once the pool was ready to swim in, that was the first toy each of them grabbed before they jumped in. Kaelyn loves the Pink Dolphin and Kaden adores his Blue Shark. They are absolutely adorable and are a lot of fun in the pool as they actually float in the water! Both kids love to swim them around and even swim along with them.
What I love is that these anti-microbial stuffed animals are made with quick-dry outer fabric and stuffing, making them great for in the pool…as well as lounging on when out of the pool. It’s also nice that they dry quickly too.
Both Caysen and Kaden enjoy the Flip Float. They think it’s neat how it transforms from a boat to a whale. I think it’s pretty fun too! The Flip Float changes from an underwater blue whale that spouts bubbles, to a tug boat, and back again, uncovering an element of surprise that kids will love watching over and over.
The first time Kaden played with it, he said “Look mom, it was floating, but now it’s under water and blowing bubbles!”. It was neat to see his little face light up as he continued to play with it as both a boat and a whale.
I love that this SwimWays Flip Float does not require batteries but simply runs on kid-powered play. It’s perfect for little one’s Caysen’s age, but also older children as well.
We’ve been thrilled with these three summer pool toys from SwimWays! The quality is fantastic and they provide endless hours of fun in the pool.
Buy It: You can purchase the Flip Float at Target stores nationwide, retailing for $9.99. The Pooligans are available at Toys R Us stores nationwide, retailing for $19.99 each.
