With the birth of my second baby I was reminded of just how much time moms with newborns spend nursing and pumping. A lot. Some days it felt like I didn’t get a lot done besides nursing, changing diapers and then nursing some more. I think moms of infants can agree on two things when it comes to nursing: time is precious and comfort is essential.
The BeliBea bra line combines the best of traditional maternity bras with both an improved fit and design for better comfort. It’s one bra for both breastfeeding and hands-free pumping convenience. The inside panel fits to and holds a breast shield in place for hands-free pumping, or both panels can be lowered to easily breastfeed.
Having tried out a number of other nursing bras I was really impressed with the fit of Nourish by BeliBea. While the design resembled some of the other nursing bras I’ve seen and tried, this one had much more shape and support to it and it was still extremely comfortable.
It felt as comfortable as a sleep bra, but with plenty of support for daytime wear.
For moms who have a need to pump regularly, the hands-free convenience of Nourish by BeliBea makes the individual task more manageable and saves you time.
The BeliBea bra line has a v-neck scoop and center ruching to maintain a feminine shape – no sports bra “uni-boob” here! Nourish by BeliBea also comes with removable pads between the cup panels that offer extra support, comfort and shape.
I liked how the snaps were quiet, making just a slight clicking sound when unsnapping or snapping. The straps were soft and smooth and easy to adjust and the sizing chart provided on the BeliBea website was accurate in helping me choose the right size.
I also liked that the panel folded completely down, making it easy for my baby to latch without the panel getting in the way. My nursing pads also fit in the bra perfectly.
When I first tried on the bra it was snug on the largest setting, but over the next day or so it did loosen up just a bit, which in my experience is common with this type of fabric to do over time. So when your first try it on, its a good thing if it feels snug. It comes with three size settings.
Since I’m a mom who doesn’t pump all that much, and if I do I use a hand-pump, I would personally like to see BeliBea design a bra with just one panel so that I would only need work with one snap when feeding my baby. I think both designs would appeal to mothers. However, the other features mentioned above still make this bra very worthwhile.
