The more we use our Instant Pot, the more we LOVE it!! I recently tried boxed mac and cheese in it, and don’t think I’ll ever make it any other way ever again! I love the one pot cleanup, not having to watch the stove top so the water doesn’t boil over and having everything done in a matter of minutes! This little appliance is perfect for EVERY busy mama!
The Mac & Cheese was SO quick and easy, and tasted great too! It was kid approved! It took approximately 3 minutes to pressurize and 4 minutes to cook!!
2 boxes of Mac & Cheese
2 C Water
4 T butter
1/2 C Milk
1. Put the butter, noodles and water in the IP so that the noodles are covered by the water.
2. Close the lid, turn to “sealing” and set it on Manual high pressure for 4 minutes.
3. When finished, quick pressure release. Once the pressure is released open the lid and stir the noodles well. My noodles looked stuck together at first, but giving it a quick stir broke them apart perfectly.
4. Add milk and the cheese packets (from mac & cheese boxes), then stir until it’s mixed in well.
