A Stork’s Journey ~ Dove “Family Approved” for all ages! {Review}

We love family movie nights, and appreciate when we can find a family-friendly movie all five of us will enjoy!

Recently, we were sent a copy of the new A Stork’s Journey movie and couldn’t wait to watch it together. I was pleased to learn that The Dove Foundation awarded this movie with 5 Doves, which is their best rating!! It’s always heartwarming to see movies that are Dove “family-approved” for all ages and that it will be something entertaining and fun for our whole family to enjoy together.

Needless to say, we couldn’t wait to watch it…and planned a surprise movie night with the kids the same day it arrived!

A Stork’s Journey follows Richard, a sparrow orphaned at birth and raised by storksĀ so he believes that he is a stork, too! When winter comes though, the storks prepare to migrate to Africa, and must reveal his true identity and leave him behind in the forest with the other sparrows since he would likely not survive the long journey. Of course, this made him determined to prove that he is in fact a stork, and Richard ventures south on an adventure with friends, to reunite with his family.

As we watched it, this storyline kept ALLĀ five of us interested the whole time. It was heart warming and humorous all at the same time! When asked what my kids liked best…they said that the movie was “so funny”! We all enjoyed following Richard’s journey as he tried to prove he was a Stork, and his interactions with friends along the way. I don’t want to give away the end of the movie for those who plan to see it…but overall we thought it was very cute and a movie all ages will enjoy! We highly recommend it for your next movie night!

A Stork’s Journey is rated PG and approximately 84 minutes long. It will be available on DVD, Digital HD, and On Demand July 4th!!
