I have a Canon S5IS. I LOVE it! I do wish I had a smaller camera sometimes because of the convenience of a smaller camera, but I would want it to take great quality pictures.

Love my Sony Cybershot has 20X lens, takes up to 10 shots without being an slr (so not as bulky or heavy) does awesome panorama, food shots --- LOVE IT! Has been my fav so far and looked at them all!
Can't wait to read all about you later this evening - glass of wine in hand, better than magazines!

I'm a Canon user as well and have to say that while sometimes Nikon has newer technology faster that Canon is still a superior camera maker. They've just released a new one called the powershot sx130 and it looks awesome! If you're not a 'photographer' than don't waste your $$ on a digital rebel, go for a nice digital (such as the sx130) and there are SO many features that'll make you feel like you really are a photographer (minature mode, macro mode, 12Xzoom.) Am I a canon commercial yet? Ha, think I'll stop now!

As far as cameras, I like Fuji,I've had Olympus. My husband used to have a decent little Polaroid. I have heard good things about Cannon.

I like ones that take great pictures and have the movie mode. Then I don't have to carry around a camcorder as well. I have a little Fuji that does pretty good (can't find it at the moment, but it's small and silver) and then my bigger Fuji is a FinePix S5700. My husband bought it in Singapore when he was in the Navy. (you can buy it anywhere) It's a great camera, pretty good zoom, etc. I've been happy with it. Lot's of options, but not overwhelming.

My husband has and Nikon D60 SLR that is great but I don't really like using it much because it's kinda big. He bought a small point and shoot from Canon that I love taking photos with. The model is the Cannon S90 and came highly recommended by the pros whose blogs he follows. Not as fast as an SLR but the picture quality is almost as good.

I have the Cannon PowerShot SD1200 IS and love it. This is the camera that is with me all the time to capture kids everyday. It's small and easy to use and takes great photos, better outdoor than indoor.

Are you looking for an SLR or a point-and-shoot? I have a Kodak point-and-shoot, and it's good for tossing in my purse and being on-the-go. It's compact, and does the job. I also have a Canon Digital Rebel SLR, and I love it!!!
